Okay so here we are day 7 of P90X which is a rest day or the day where you do the X Stretch dvd. So thats what I did, I rested. But I rested by taking an 8 hour shift at work. So my rest day was working 16 hours, instead of my normal work day of doing just 8. So it wasnt really a rest day. But heres my thoughts on week 1.

I feel really good about this so far after the first week. I think the hardest part was actually sticking to it each day, and making sure I didnt come up with an excuse to not do the workouts. I had to take about a 20 minute break on day 1 cause I pushed myself to hard. So as the days went on I made sure that didnt happen again. I still 'brought it' to each exercise but when I felt I had to stop I stopped just like Tony says to do. But I was being thickheaded so that wont happen again, cause while Im trying to get in shape I dont want to do anything that will effect my health while Im trying to make it better.

My pullups are lacking but now Im using resistance bands instead, actually just the green band. But I plan on switching to the black band in week 3 to see how Im able to do, and use this through weeks 5 and 6 and then go for actual pullups from week 7 until the end.

Weights I feel comfortable with the weights I was using and as the workouts went on the quality started to go down. So the weights are probably a bit to heavy for me at the later exercises but as the workout goes on Im sure the quality will pick up and match that of the quality at the start of the exercise.

With yoga I was feeling iffy about it to begin with but during it and feeling the sweat drip down I was feeling better about it. Some of the moves they have you do were without a doubt challenging. Like crane, and I cant remember the other name by you put your shoulder blade to your inner thigh and reach through your arm towards your back and with your other hand you reach around your back and grab your hands together. Yea, couldn't do that one.

Cardio of Kenpo and Plymotrics I thought I was going to be tired during these exercises and not be able to finish, but I didnt have that problem and look foward to doing these in the coming weeks as Im sure my quality in all the exercises will only become better since I didnt have a problem lasting through each exercise.

Im going to jump on the scale later and log my weights and hopefully Ive lost body fat, which is mainly what I want to drop.

My diet is going fairly well. Im certainly not sticking to the meal approach or any of the other plans in the nutrition book. But Im also not drinking soda, eating cheese it crackers, or having candy or any other sugars. Im eating less and certainly not eating crappy foods. But Im eating carbs mainly rice. So the diet end of these 7 days can be cleaned up a bit. I did cheat as it was my brothers birthday and I had a some slice of cake which I didnt finish cause I felt guilty eating, and I had a slice of pizza. Other then that I ate 'cleanly'.

7 of 90

Bring it!

On Edit:

So I jumped on the scale after I had woken up, and here are the numbers of which Im shocked with:

The Before numbers are in red, the numbers from today are in blue.
Body Fat Percentage = 20.8% 18.8%
Weight = 162 169
Skeletal Muscle = 39% 40.4%
Resting Metabolism = 1684 kcal 1738 kcal
BMI = 23.6% 24.6%
Visercal Fat = 6 7

A 2% drop in body fat with a 7 pound weight gain mix with a body mass index of a 1% gain while adding 1.4% to my sketeal muscle and raising my resting metabolism by 54 kcal. Not bad, and this is only after 6 days of working out and 1 day of resting. Cant wait to see the results after 90 days! Now off to do todays workout of Chest & Back!
