P90X - Day 4 - Yoga X - Review

Okay well from reading other blogs and message boards I knew not to expect the normal 'yoga' being I never had done yoga before I was expecting worse then what the yoga x offered. I thought it was rather boring. I did feel it as a good workout and Im less sore now after it all then I was before I started. I got a late start on it today. Woke up around 9am since its my day off with a pounding headache so I went back to sleep and woke up around 1230 still with a head that was pounding I took an advil and an advil sinus. I really dont like taking medicines at all. So woke up around 330. But ended up going food shopping first to wake up and loosen up my muscles. On a side note it is way more expensive to eat healthy no wonder so many people are overweight. Its like $1.09 for some oatmeal creme pies yet 6 bucks for 11oz of almonds and 3 bucks for salad mix.
Anyways back to the yoga. There were some poses that the names arent coming to mind that I couldnt do. Put your shoulder to your thigh reach through with your hand and put your other hand behind your back and join the hands. Yea couldnt do it. Also the crane pose that you have to do for a minute. I was constantly trying and I would really like to do this pose by the end the other 90 day program. So I set that as a goal. Some of the other poses where you have your leg extended out in front of you and your supposed to grab your foot. I cant do I guess my arms arent long enough or maybe I just cant flex that much at this point. But not sure Ill be able to reach by the end of these 90 days. But something Ill work towards.
As I was going through the workout I had thought the first 45 minutes or first section part of the yoga x dvd I thought was harder until there was about 20 minutes left and we started doing things that involved the core/abs. That wasnt so fun. But I was sweating nicely in those 45 minutes and seen my heart rate monitor in the 145 area, in the second half it was in the 100-110 area for the most part. So I was very relaxed doing this workout from start to finish. I think it helped with the soreness I was having before I started. Not sure how sore Ill be tomorrow though.
Since I slept till 330 in the afternoon or there abouts I wont have any I wont be sleeping or taking a nap before work or even before my next workout tomorrow. I work the midnight shift from 11p-7a. Ive been doing my workouts when I get home from work. Depending how tired I am once I get home in the morning will dictate if Im going to do the workout or if Im going to take a nap or sleep and then do day 5's Legs & Back workout.
I may do the yoga x for the first 3 weeks of the 90 day program and then might switch it when it comes up during week 5 with something else. Maybe something from Insanity as I thought this was rather boring and felt like I needed to be doing more. Yes I know it helps with balance and stretching and all that stuff but I just was not feeling the workout or feeling 'relaxed' like your 'supposed to' feel.
