P90X - Day 8 - Chest & Back Review

Much Better All Around!
Okay so on day 1 I had to take a 20 minute or so breather cause I was dizzy lightheaded etc. so I made it a goal of mine to finish this exercise without having to stop. Well Goal completed! But not only did I complete the goal I did better with all the exercises. What a difference 1 week makes.
You can see this weeks results in blue, in black were last weeks results which was week 1 day 1.
Standard Pushups
1- 24 37
2- 9 27
Wide Front Pull Ups
1- 1 27 with the green band
2- 20 26 with the green band
Military Pushup
1- 13 20
2- 12 16
Reverse Grip Chin Ups
1- 18 24 with the green band
2- 25 28 with the green band
Wide Fly Push Ups
1- 16 20
2- 15 18
Closed Grip Overhand Pullups
1- 25 29 with the green band
2- 18 22 with the green band
Decline Pushups
1- 12 15
2- 6 10
Heavy Pants
1- 27 with 20 pound weight 24 with 25 pound weights
2- 12 with 25 pound weight 12 with 30 pound weights
Diamond Pushups
1- 16 21
2- 16 22
Lawnmowers
1- 20 with 25 pound weight with both arms 22 with 25 pound weight both arms
2- 20 with 25 pound weight with both arms 15 with 30 pound weights both arms
Dive Bomber Pushups
1- 6 8
2- 7 9
Back Flys
1- 12 with 20 pound weight 14 with 25 pound weights
2- 13 with 20 pound weight 15 with 30 pound weights
So as you can see I improved in every exercise, and even did better in the second set then I did in the first of this week. I gained more weight in the second set as well. I made sure to bring it to the exercise. My heart rate was in the 150-160s most of the time. I think because I knew what the exercises were and I had a 'baseline' from last week to go off of I knew what to expect and knew I could do more weights as well. Next week should really show how Im doing as far as gaining muscle.
I still dont feel like Im 'bringing it' enough to the ab ripper x exercises though. I can make it to 12-18 without stopping on most exercises before I reach 'failure' and stop. But I rest for about 5 reps while Tony and the group are going and then Ill try to finish a few more and finish the exercise with them. So Im not giving myself a huge break in between each exercise. The Mason twists at the very end I can reach 30 until I have to stop and then I join back again during the 'bonus round' But my quality isnt all that great as I dont hit the carpet with each twist, something I have set myself to improve on.
Tomorrow is Day 9 Plyometrics and I feel comfortable with it as I didnt have a problem finishing last week. So I just have to work on my form better for some things.
