My boyfriend wakes up very early on Tuesday to go to a cycling class. Because the forecast called for temps in the 90s with high humidity, I decided to wake up with him to hit the park for my run while it was still a "cool" 75 degrees. On my schedule was just a 40 minute run, with 5 X 1:00 hill repeats. During some of my runs in July, my legs would feel tight, stiff and "flare up", limiting my ability to get a good performance in. I think after a week of doing P90X, with all the stretching during warm-ups and cool-downs, and especially the yoga DVD, my legs are more relaxed and i'm able to feel more comfortable running. 75 degrees with high humidity is hot enough to effect my run, but my body wasn't what held me back.

I waited 12 hours this time before doing the plyometrics DVD. I think overall, this workout went better than it did last week. However, I did find myself a little behind them with the timing. I suppose I was feeling a little sluggish. I didn't feel I got very low during any of the movements that included squats - something to work on next week.

My upper body feels very sore - pushing a heavy grocery cart in the store today was a chore. I hope I wake up feeling a bit more rested so i'm able to tackle my shoulders and arms tomorrow!
