Day 13 - Legs & Back

The latter part of my week I switched the workouts around a bit. During the weekends, because i'm not a kenpo fan, i'm sticking to my run and swim workouts and therefore only doing 5 days of p90x, with Sunday being a rest day. I ended up taking my rest day on Thursday, due to my schedule and because I wasn't feeling great. I did my long run day yesterday.

So today, I did legs & back and tomorrow I plan on doing yoga. Back to the regular schedule again on Monday.

WARNING - do not do legs & back first thing in the morning before eating. I made it nearly to the end, had 10 minutes left (3 exercises according to the guide) and I had to stop because I was shaking badly and felt like I could vomit. I quickly whipped up some egg whites and turkey bacon to get something in my stomach, which made me feel better. Lesson learned.

Before the physical lack of food breakdown, I was feeling great. Most likely because this was following rest and run days, I had no soreness and felt like I had the strength to keep up with them on the DVD and go lower in my squats, etc. Although, I'm still not able to keep up with them for a full 90 seconds on the wall squat (closer to a minute for me) and the single leg wall squats I switch every 5 seconds instead of 10 seconds - at least I stay down for that full minute! Another mini goal is to tackle both of these by the end. I prefer to use a pull-up bar instead of bands for the back exercises, but am still using a chair for assistance.

This will be an interesting week - i'm going away on vacation - beach house with the family. So i'm taking P90X with me and am trying to stay as close to my diet as possible - but I know it won't be perfect. I may not post as often during this upcoming week but know that i'll be bringing it!
